About

I am a young physicist in search of new challenges, both in the field of pure research and industry. My dream is to work within a multidisciplinary team, combining my strong academic education and my work experience with my curiosity.

Freelancer in applied physics, statistical processing of experimental data and machine learning, I deal with services to support research in the areas of my expertise using solutions of HW/SW in the documentation project, protection and restoration of heritage (cultural, archaeological, urban ), 3D scanning.

Currently, in the field of physics applications for Cultural Heritage and archaeology, I am working on: the characterization of adaptive autofocusing for multispectral diagnostic applications (especially, multispectral reflectography and UV fluorescence imaging); Bayesian methods for unsupervised classification of digital images; geoarchaeological methods (geophysics + archaeology) for documentation of archaeological sites (also underwater).

More and more, I am interested in multiresolution analysis and wavelet analysis for non-destructive diagnostics and in the use of bayesian neural networks.

My research interests include applications of adaptive optics techniques for denoising and deconvolution for image processing and time series (especially PCA, CLEAN algorithm) applications with FFT methods and multiscale (wavelet); Lyot spectrometry. Interests also concern the automatic hierarchical structures in time-series and CCD images; their classification with geometrical methods of segmentation (quod-tree, multi-dimensional kd-tree); finally, the use of methods of analysis of signals with sparse analysis (wavelet decomposition and matched filtering).

As astrophysicist, my main field of interest is in the Astronomy of the Stochastic Gravitational Wave background (templates in AdS/CFT and perturbed cosmologies, formation and evolution of LSS; matched filtering, high precision astrometry with geometric hashing methods). In fact, I am interested in the search of bursts of gravitational waves of astrophysical origin, especially related to gravitational collapse events in objects at high redshift, with Multiresolution analysis (wavelet, curvelet and CLEAN algorithm).

Please, feel free to contact me for more details about my activity, or if you thought that my work would be useful for your job and/or company.
