About
Taking a comparative approach, my research focuses primarily on some of the most significant historical-juridical and economic aspects of the ancient world, such as Citizenship, Ownership of Land, Real Rights and Real Securities. Moreover, I also have a strong research interest in modern Chinese Law and in cross-disciplinary studies at the boundaries of the humanities and sciences.
Originally from Italy, I received my J.D. summa cum laude from the University of Milan-Bicocca and obtained a PhD in Law and Ancient History from the Universities of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, Milan-Bicocca and Szeged. My doctoral dissertation (2008) was about real securities in ancient Greek law, a subject that still has much to offer, even in comparative perspective.
I am an alumnus of Collegio di Milano, as well as an Italian qualified lawyer, and I also hold an MBA from the School of Management of Milan Polytechnic University.
