About
In the beginning the main goals of my research were the new technology methodologies applied to landscape archaeology as GIS, remote sensing, geophysics and data management. I am not specialist in spatial or statistical analysis but in the “scientific” methodology used to collect and process the data. In the last years the focus of the research is still on methodology but it move to how the data are collected, stored, represented and shared to the community (not only archaeologists). The data infrastructure is the first step of the research in order to create a dynamic and interoperable archive where the data could answer to any questions.
Thanks to the web2.0, Open source and some webservices sharing the knowledge is easier and for that reason I am interested in the new development on internet free tools for archaeology.
Main topics are: Landscape archaeology, data management, data dissemination, remote sensing, GIS,WebGIS and Webmapping, new technology applied to archaeology, latin epigraphy, how to disseminate the cultural heritage, open source and open knowledge.
