I am an independent researcher at the moment. Currently, I work mainly within the area of East Asian Cinema and Cultures. I am writing a book on Korean Horror Cinema to follow my book on Japanese Horror (Introduction to Japanese Horror Film, EUP, 2008), published last year. I am an Editor for Electronic Journal of Japanese Studies and on the Steering Committee for "Evil and Human Wickedness" - one of the many conferences projects run by Inter-disciplinary Net.
