Independent Researcher

About

I am engaged in research and writing on printing, book trade and libraries in Castile in the fifteenth and the first half of the sixteenth century.
I am currently working on two books. The first work is a series of articles from different scholars about printing and book trade in European Renaissance provincial cities. The second one is on private libraries and book ownership in sixteenth-century Santiago.
My interest in visual arts, material culture and typography has resulted in my participating professionally in book design.
I am General Secretary of the Asociación Española de Bibliografía and Liaison Officer for the Iberian Peninsula for the Society for the History of Authorship Reading and Publishing (SHARP).
My Ph.D. in Spanish Language and Literature is from the Universidad de Santiago and my Master's Degree is from the Complutense of Madrid.
