About
I am an independent researcher. I have a particular interest in the philosophy of the American polyhistor Charles S. Peirce (1839-1914). My research on Peirce first and foremost revolves around his concepts of the end-directed universal trend working toward growth of reasonableness and Summum bonum, and their relevance for understanding aspects of the morally coherent community, the ethics of inquiry and the semeiosis of metaphor.
I am the (co)author of articles appearing in Semiotica, Transactions of the C. S. Peirce Society, Signs Systems Studies, American Journal of Semiotics and Cybernetics and Human Knowing.
Currently I am co-editing (with T. Thellefsen) a special issue of "Cybernetics and Human Knowing" concerning the metaphysics of Peirce.
I am co-founding editor (with T. Thellefsen and M. Thellefsen) of "Signs - International Journal of Semiotics" http://vip.db.dk/signs/
