Part-Time Lecturer CAED University of Oxford
About
Just joined. Will add info shortly if contacts sign up and links to paper, research interests. Bear with me. See main website... So little time so much to know and do!!!
......................................................................
I have to apologise on behalf of philosophers having so many interests... all is relevant..no doubt be forced to whittle down a tad eventually...my vast array of wonderment.
I am essentially a Classical/Analytical Philosopher with a large Scientific wing mostly in Astrophysics and Life sciences with an obsession for Bach, Mozart, Renaissance Choral and Baroque opera and the Arts generally who plays a lot of golf and has quite a few other business interests. I lecture part-time and research a lot with a real passion.
Very Anglo-American. Rorty, Wittgenstein and a large Science wing, centering mostly on Quantum Physics, Cosmology et al. Feyerbend. with a large love of the Greek mind/psyche and the social sciences, Foucault et al and the Arts through to Postmodernity. Great love of Aesthetics and History and classical music and literature incl. poetry also. As well as linguistics, logic, and language as well as some meta ethical thinking. See:- Teaching and main :- Website.
House fire 2007 has put me behind in uploads of data but working on it over the next few years plus so much needs revising. I am here more to read others...but I promise to upload some articles here and from my main website in due course. Awaiting CERN results for one and rewriting some of my lecture material and PowerPoint files as many lost in the fire. But I WILL be using this space as it is a great resource to other material as well!
Should be back lecturing Trinity Term 2009 I hope. Maybe later. See how it goes. Style as ever is a cutting tool of clarity.
