About
INTELLECTUM JOURNAL
Intellectum: a Journal of Generating Understanding
Bi-annual Publication
ISSN: 1790-8426
Focus & Scope of Intellectum Interdisciplinary Journal
In an era dominated by the omnipotence of image, the ubiquity of information and the often uncritical, media-constructed conception of reality, well-founded reasoning and analysis of contemporary issues constitute two interweaving questions. Simultaneously, however, it is essential that scientific reasoning and analysis are rendered perceivable by the wider public.
Hence, Intellectum intends to promote critical thought and dialogue which is developed beyond the traditionally demarcated academic boundaries, within a wider spectrum of society. It aspires to situate the reader at the core of critical thinking and hence become a valuable conception tool of the rapidly changing scientific and socio-political environment. Moreover, it wishes to assist in the refutation of stereotypes and challenge of current orthodoxies via the projection of multiple approaches.
Ultimately, the Intellectum journal aims at forming a meeting place for readers' intellectual encounters, expressions and perceptions, which constantly evolve and differentiate.
Intellectum Interdisciplinary Journal has been awarded the SPARC Europe seal of Recognition from the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ ).
