Jan Husdal has since 2005 been a Research Geographer with the Transport Economics Research Group at Møreforsking Molde in Molde, Norway, where he is engaged in cost-benefit evaluations and impact assessments of infrastructure projects, mainly related to roads and airports.
He is the founder a husdal.com, a personal undertaking serving as a Internet gateway to journal articles, research papers, books, websites and other resources in Supply Chain Risk, Business Continuity, Transport Vulnerability and Transportation GIS, collected, evaluated and reviewed by himself.
In 2010 he became a member of ISCRiM, an international network of selected researchers and academics in supply chain risk management.
Jan Husdal holds a BSc in Civil Engineering from Norway (1985) and an MSc with distinction in Geographic Information Science (GIS) from the University of Leicester, UK (2000).
Prior to his current position he served as a government adviser in vulnerability assessment, safe community planning and crisis management with several Norwegian government authorities for more than 15 years.
