About

My PhD dissertation involves the construction of meaning in the lives of disabled people through narrative. It is phenomenon based and accounts for lived experience of the individual.Narrative is useful as it supplies information in an analytical sense and  defines categories of human experience. Narrative is holistic and provides therapeutic options through education of the individual and society in general. Since narrative is grounded in experience, it encourages reflection and promotes a person centered approach to everyday living. Narrative gives rise to new ways of thinking as it challenges received wisdom and generates new hypotheses.
