About
I am an alumnus ('09) of Truman State University in Kirksville, MO, where I received a BA in English (criticism, world literature) and in theatre. Since then, I have been teaching secondary English.
My research interests are quite broad, but the common thread is performance. Specifically, I am interested in how gender is performed by public figures including politicians, celebrities, and artists. Also, I am interested in how public figures and/or (fictional) characters are portrayed in dramatic literature.
I also research theatre history and practitioners of theatre.
