About

Kelly Krause is a cultural heritage manager and the Founder and CEO of Heritage in Action (HiA), a creative, global, heritage organization, working to empower communities and the heritage industry by providing professional services in project management.

As head of HiA, Kelly utilizes her professional experience and extensive network to further the inventive growth of project management and bridge the interests of the heritage sector and creative industries.

Kelly is a graduate of Boston University and the Institute of Archaeology, University College London. She has worked  throughout the Middle East, Europe and North America with non-profits, government institutions and media networks  that include the Egyptian Supreme Council of Antiquities (SCA), the Qatar Museums Authority (QMA), the Anglo-American Project in Pompeii (AAPP) and the Discovery Channel. Her passion for culture and people drives her to develop cultural connections and promote mutual understanding all over the world.

Kelly's research has focused on globalization, heritage in conflict, cultural heritage tourism (CHT), community engagement, public archaeology, UNESCO World Heritage and living heritage.
