About
Ken started interviewing auto-racing notables in 1993. By 1995 it became apparent that the racer's work ethic was a little-known, but highly-prized attribute of racers. Educators and students involved with EV racing, Formula SAE and other design competitions showed me the complexities of folks from many disciplines combining in an effective team, while allowing for individual innovation.
Much time has been invested by a variety of individuals and institutions since then in attempts to disseminate the racer's work ethic more widely.
Such national imperatives as the 'America Competes Act' attest that there is a great need for innovation in academia, industry, medicine, military and other institutions contributing, or not, to our future well-being.
The whole affair cries out for an academic process to make a coherent, cohesive assembly of these issues. I look forward to learning what the members of academia.edu can contribute to the promotion of the racing work ethic of Motorsports, into Education.
My suggestion is to promote the values of a racing work ethic to our students, and their educators--employing burgeoning computerized teach/learn technologies now becoming available.
I hope there will be other suggestions directed to a common aim to improve survivability of students in the onrushing 21st Century.
Thank you ...
