About
After the Laurea in Lettere Classiche (Università di Pavia), I obtained the Specialisation in Archaeology (Etruscology) at the Università di Roma "La Sapienza" and a PhD in Ancient History at the same University.
I am currently working on a second PhD project at the Università di Pavia, on the following topic "The Volscians. An "obscure people" of ancient Latium". I am also working on a book about the ancient goddess Feronia.
I was Visiting Fellow at the School of Historical Studies, University of Newcastle, and I had the opportunity to pursue my researches thanks to some Fellowships (Alwyn Cotton Foundation, Fondation Hardt) and Post-doctoral experiences in several foreign Institutions.
Among my fields of interest are: Social and Religious History of Pre-roman Italy, especially Etruscans, Samnites, Volscians, and other peoples of Central Italy; the "Romanization" in Central Italy; Etruscan Cultural Memory; the survival of Etruscan Culture in Renaissance and Modern Italy.
