About

I studied Art History at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and since de begining of my degree I was part of numerous digs in Spain, Italy and the Balkans. In 2010/11, i was studiying one year of "Metodologia della Ricerca Archeologica" at the Università di Roma3, in Rome.

By this moment, my research interests are mainly two:

- The iconography of the "veil gesture" in the Greco/Roman Mediterranean World. This has led my to research deeply about the whorship statue of "Venus Genetrix".

- The iconographic and artistic theory and methodology in conexion to the archeological research. I investigate, from an archaeological point of view, the importance of a proper study of the artistic structures and pieces that we cand find on a site to get to a complet historical knowledge of it.

He estudiado Historia del Arte en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid y participado en numerosas excavaciones en suelo español, en Italia y en los Balcanes. Durante el curso 2010/11 estuve estudiando un año de "Metodologia della Ricerca Archeologica" en la Università di Roma3, en Roma. 

En este momento, mis líneas de investigación son principalmente dos:

- La iconografía del "gesto del velo" en el mediterráneo de la Antigüedad, lo que me ha conducido a ocuparme profundamente de la escultura de "Venus Genetrix".

- La teoría y metodología iconográfica y artística en relación con la investigación arqueológica; estudiando, desde un punto de vista predominantemente arqueológico, la importancia del correcto estudio de las piezas y estructuras que podemos considerar artísticas para el conocimiento histórico de un yacimiento.
