For my PhD I used functional MRI, psychophysics and MR tractography to identify damage to the optic radiations caused by stroke and assessing the effect this has on visual fields, visual contrast sensitivity and the retinotopic map within the visual cortex.
I am continuing to use these methods to investigate perceptual learning as rehabilitation in hemianopia and neglect. I am also investigating gaze strategies in patients with hemianopia and neglect.
