As an indexer and editor, my area of expertise is scholarly articles, theses, and books, with subject areas in U.S. history, environmental history, environmental studies, American Indian history, history of the American West, cartography, and related topics. As a scholar, I specialize in environmental history and environmental studies, with an emphasis on the cultural history of the American West. I am particularly interested in how people come to understand and engage with local and regional ecoscapes.
My doctoral research was on the environmental history of Palm Springs, California, during the 1860s-1930s.
Currently I am indexing, teaching, writing creative non-fiction, and selling my photography online. I am available for indexes, book reviews, editing and paper critiques, and other related work.
