Consultant
About
My professional background comprises being a coordinator of communications tasks, researcher, analyst, writer, and editor. I have done work across a range of regional non-governmental organisations, research institutions and a number of private sector organisations, in Bangkok, Thailand and in Singapore.
I have also had active involvement in researching, scripting and filming support for the production of ‘A Confluence of Lands’, a short documentary on migrant workers in Singapore for the NGO Migrant Voices, for their Oral History Project in 2009. See www.migrantvoices.org.
My work also includes being a Consultant with the GOMEZ CENTRE. See www.gomezcentre.com.
[And I'm more civil society activist than 'academic', and proud of it.]
I blog (rather erratically) @ www.rodsjournal.wordpress.com, and also (rather infrequently) @ www.rowellreadinggroup.wordpress.com.
My undergraduate degree in Communication Studies (Journalism) was obtained at Auckland University of Technology (AUT), New Zealand. I also have a MSc.(International Relations) from the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, NTU, Singapore.
