About
I was on the faculty of the University of Michigan for ten years; in 1997 I gave up tenure to move out of state. I have been working as a consultant, writer and independent scholar for eleven years. My most visible publication is a text: English with an Accent: Language, Ideology and Discrimination, published by Routledge in 1997. I am now in the process of writing the second revised edition, and following from that, trying to catch up on the literature.
