Independent Researcher

About

My interdisciplinary research interests include cognitive science, epistemology, psychology, philosophy, computer science, linguistics, artificial intelligence, etc.

In Cognitive Science, I am currently working on the “Discursive Theory of Knowledge & Cognition”, a constructivist, pseudo-structuralist and existentialist model of cognition that attempts to address the knowledge representation problem in cognitive science. This theory lies at the intersection of Cognition, Philosophy of Mind, Epistemology, Semantics, Linguistics and Ontology. This theory assumes a holistic view of the human mind and explains cognition, affection and conation as a whole rather than analyse individual processes in reduced isolation. This work is based in part on the Samkhya-Yoga and Nyaya-Vaisheshika traditions of Hindu philosophy which represent the psychological and analytical traditions of Indian philosophy. This theory also studies the social and cultural dimensions to human cognition, along with implications in ethics, politics and law.
Other related fields I have worked/am working in include political science, sociology, criminal psychology, theology, comparative religion, etc.

In Computer Science, my research domains are Web Development (J2EE and PHP), Software Engineering, Semantic Web (or Web 3.0), etc. I have developed and served as Project Manager, Software Designer and Mentor for numerous software engineering projects in the past.

Academics aside, I am also a musician (composer/singer/chorister) and poet.
