About

Simon is a young scholar who specializes in applying contemporary narrative and critical theory to ancient Jewish texts. Informed primarily by the disciplines of narratology and discourse analysis, he wrote his PhD on the Aramaic Targums to the Pentateuch. Currently he is attempting to develop a new kind of historiographical writing that can be applied to the corpus of rabbinic literature, while at the same time maintaining the theoretical stance afforded him by his readings in twenty first century literary and political theory.
