I am a lapsed astrophysicist and trained Montessori preschool teacher. I am fascinated by child development and by the parallels to and differences between (the little I've read about) modern child development theory and the principles of the Montessori method and philosophy of education. When I have my Montessori certificate I will work part-time and study part-time until I can do post-graduate work in education or child developmental psychology. I don't know yet which field is most suited to my interests.
I am also interested in gifted education out of self-defence - my children deserve the same chance for a suitable and challenging education as do all others.
