I’m working on clarifying how it is possible, and what it amounts to, that a person can obtain knowledge about possible and impossible intentional states of persons via thorough reflection (a priori?/afterthought?) only, that is, independently of (further?) empirical inquiries. I believe this possibility ought to have consequences well beyond metaphilosophical concerns. Particularly, it ought to have (radical) consequences for psychological science, psychotherapy research, clinical theory and mental health care policies.
