Wendy Greenhouse, PhD, is an independent art historian specializing in American art of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Her research interests include art and architecture in Chicago before World War II and American narrative and history painting of the mid-nineteenth century. Greenhouse writes, consults, and lectures, with occasional adjunct teaching and work in art and museum education. She also undertakes copy and substantive editing in a variety of fields.
